Thank you Larry. For all those long time porn lovers like myself Mr. Flynt has been the purveyor of some of the hottest porn produced over the last 30 years. The site promises over 100,000 images and I’m sure they are underestimating. Whatever the total count, you probably will never be able to view them all. Content is broken into 2 main categories: still photo sets and videos.

The photos themselves are distributed according to content categories with such headings as: Sluts, Girl on Girl, Big Tits, Teen, Couples etc. The collection is a mixed bag of softcore and hardcore. A lot of the material if from their print magazines photo spreads. Unfortunately that translates into small galleries sometimes containing only 5 or 6 pictures. They also don’t give you every picture displayed in the mag (they still want you to buy the print version) but do include some additional pics not available in the print version. The photos are pretty small but if you click on one you are presented with a bigger version. The pics are not downloadable to your hard drive. One neat feature is the ability to view the photos in a slideshow format.

The amount of videos available is also tremendous. Right now they are over 900 full-length titles available. The vids are usually 60 minutes long and are broken into 4-15 minute segments The vids are listed by series and includes such popular Hustler names such as: Ghetto Booty, Jail Babes, Hustler XXX, College Girls and many many more. It seems that all Hustler produced hardcore films are available. The movies can be viewed full screen and are available at different download speeds according to your connection in multiple formats: WMV, Real Player and QuickTime. You can download the videos to your hard drive allowing you to view them at your convenience but there is one catch. They are script protected so that as soon as you cancel your membership to the site they are no longer playable. Most full-length movies are at least 100Mb in size.

You also get access to all the features of the print magazine including: Beaver Hunt, centerfolds, cartoons, letters and articles, Larry’s pic of the day etc.

As if that wasn’t enough there is also a huge collection of third party content also available. Mainstream stuff that you can find on a lot of paysites but it doesn’t matter, as it is still high quality stuff. The additional content includes both photos and videos. There is also access to a large collection of Live webcams and monthly E-Zines.

The content on Hustler runs the full gamut with respect to quality. It is undeniable that Hustler uses only the best photographers and hottest hardcore sluts available. This is most definitely reflected in their photo spreads. They are very artistic, full of glistening tanned hard bodies, beautifully posed, perfectly lit and extremely explicit. For the most part the quality is superb but they are two issues that haven’t been resolved.

First is the fact that the images when first encountered are very small and when clicked still do not upsize to full screen high resolution. They do get larger but usually the quality suffers somewhat. Secondly, most of the images have been produced for distribution in the print magazine. As everyone knows this allows for the use of airbrushing techniques to clean up unwanted portions of the image: blemishes, pimples, scars etc. This is fine but what has happened is the airbrushing doesn’t translate very well to web distribution and at times is very noticeable and ugly. These two problems must be addressed.

The videos present no such problem. They are available for viewing at different quality settings depending on your connection speed. High-speed users will have no problem viewing these DVD quality films. For dial up users it is a different matter. You will probably most likely just download the movies in their individual scenes, as the total movie will probably take too long. Quality suffers a bit but it isn’t a significant reduction.

As with all Hustler products the quality of the girls is fantastic. What is even better is a Hustler girl is the kind you always dream about. She’s not the absolutely gorgeous, stuck up prim and proper type found in Playboy. No she’s you average good-looking girl who loves to get down and dirty. The site proudly proclaims that it updates daily and in fact adds something daily into each of the main content categories. Updates can include photosets, videos or additions to any of the various features. Third party content is also continually added and it seems nothing is ever removed. The site just keeps getting bigger and bigger.

A steady stream of new material also comes in from the bonus sites, webcams, games, chat etc. It seems never ending. In fact just the volume of the updates alone will keep members satisfied. This isn’t one of those sites where you eagerly await the next weekly update. New material is constantly being uploaded and it becomes a task just to make sure you don’t miss something.

Speed can be an issue when viewing the site. Just taking the free tour demonstrates some problems that unfortunately haven’t fully been overcome in the membership pages. The problem doesn’t lie so much in the display of content. The images are not usually full screen high-resolution pictures and the videos are available for viewing at multiple speeds according to your connection type. No the problems lay simply in the site pages themselves. Each page is graphic intensive and full of information. For some reason the powers that be at Hustler have not taken the time to continually check and improve this factor. Even with my high-speed connection it took literally 30 seconds to download a page. This becomes a major nuisance when jumping from page to page of content that remember, numbers in the thousands for this megasite. I really couldn’t image how a dial up user could wait and navigate through this site without becoming totally frustrated.

Besides the speed issues of the design mentioned above there is one other problem with the site, it includes so much content that navigation is sometimes difficult as too much seems to be crammed onto some pages.

Take the home page for instance. As soon as you open it you are presented with a page containing images and menus everywhere. To top it off, the very middle of the page includes an image that is constantly rotating providing an annoying distraction. The main menu items are located around this image. At present there are 22 options. Menus to the bonus sites and live shows lie in columns to the left and right of the page. Other features and options including links to the archived issues of Hustler are located at the bottom of the page. Whew! Once you get past all that and actually click on a selection things get a little bit easier. Any page after that includes a main menu on the left side of the page and the content occupying the rest.

The photo pages have a menu that includes 8 main categories. Click on a category and a page full of thumbnails pops up identified with the model name. Click on a thumb and a page pops up that includes a short bio at the top and thumbnail pictures of the individual photos in the gallery. Click on a thumb and a larger picture appears.

The video pages have a replica of the main menu in the left hand column just in a different layout format. The center of the page includes box covers of most of the videos available. For movies without box covers a description of what the movie is about appears under the link to the movie. Click a box cover and you are taken to a page that has the box cover, a short description of the movie itself and a couple of photos captured from the movie. In both cases when you click the link to download you are then given the option of format of download speed.

When you first attempt to navigate the site it does seem difficult but eventually gets easier and easier. If they could only fix the page download problems!

Sorry Larry but I couldn’t give you a higher ranking in this category with this design. To put it plainly: you are simply trying to cram too much information onto each page. There is absolutely no white space anywhere. Ok, I lied there is a bit around the oversized Hustler logo on each page.

There is also a multitude of colors utilized: reds, yellows, blues, greys and whites. A little too much! And what about the size of the main menu? Was it designed for Larry’s eyes? Is he as blind as a bat? Is there any reason it occupies almost a quarter of the page?

At least the content pages are a little more organized. When you do reach them everything is easily accessible and neatly laid out.

What I don’t understand is how an organization such as this that can produce and lay out an extremely popular magazine for so long can miss the boat on this one. Oh well, I guess everyone’s not perfect.

It seems obvious that Larry is attempting to make his site one of the largest adult destinations on the web and you know what? With the amount of pure original hardcore content available he seems destined to acieve his goals and conquer this market also.

Hustler magazine. It has been a staple of my pud-pulling routine for almost 30 years. I don’t know how many boxes of Kleenex tissues I’ve gone through scouring its pages but I know it’s at least dozens. So here is the online version. Will it meet the standards I’ve come to know and love or are they simply trying to score points off the name while presenting sub par content? I believe that Hustler online measures up and in some cases actually beats the time proven print version. There is not a site around that can match this level. The content itself is for the most part good quality. Some of the photosets are lacking but this is more than made up for by the available videos. The girls featured in the content are true Hustler beauties. Picked not only for their looks but also their skankiness. These girls get down and dirty with no inhibitions. For those that don’t know, Hustler was the first place you could actually see pink. There are not many sites around that can compete with this price. At $9.95 per month you will stay a member for years on end and still probably won’t have seen all the content available at this site.
