There is a massive amount of animation content on Cartoon 69, and for those who are completely into it, you will not be disappointed in the quantity.

The feature content of the site contains approximately 40 galleries of video captures, and illustration stills, as well as over 100 additional galleries featuring just about any porn niche that you can think up. The unfortunate drawback is that a greater portion of the quantity is leased, and a good chunk of it contains real model porn rather than toon. Galleries include at least 5 Hentai sites, and leased material from MMG and Lovesexxxy. Most galleries contain 9 images per page, and approximately 9 – 14 pages.

Videos are all leased clips ranging anywhere from 2 – 5 minutes. There are definitely hundreds of streams to choose from, and when taking into consideration bonus links and other real life video content, you are getting over 100,000 clips.

Other content includes erotic stories, online magazines and upsells such as live chat, shows and a toy store.

It is really difficult to describe quality in a site that has no discernable custom content, so I will comment on the 3rd party and bonus material.

First the pictures though. Cartoon images range from lower quality video grabs averaging around 50KB, to higher quality image stills ranging between 151 – 159KB. While I was not an animation major, I did happen to major in fine art before switching to film. The images themselves are very clear, even when a film grab. I did not notice much difference between the stills and movie grabs except that the image area was larger for higher quality images. There is a wide range of illustration, and some of it, like in Teen Angels, has a lower quality art value in my opinion. What I mean is that the illustrations are not as professional, not as detailed, or as rich in colour or texture as those offered in titles like ‘Animerica Top 100’. Different people have different tastes, and so the impression of illustration quality will depend on one’s preference for raw vs. polished animation.

Videos were all streamed. The sound was generally good and my impression of animation would be the same for photos. Playback quality was diminished by a small viewing screen, and most appeared to be WMV or QT files.

Real life content videos were  generally fair as well. Those with a 56k connection will find streaming these videos a lot easier than many of the toons.

XXX Cartoon animation sites are growing, and yet there continues to be a lack of exclusive cartoon site. Perhaps one day this will change. It is definitely a unique niche, but Cartoon 69 seems to house a variety of Anime, Hentai and Manga rather than offer exclusive content by original animators.

Cartoon 69 is updated everyday up to 5 times per day. However, this does not mean that the toons are updated with as much frequency. As part of a mega site with predominantly leased and bonus material, it is next to impossible to say how often the actual content of Cartoon 69 is updated. Nonetheless, toons are added weekly, and the updates are profiled on the member page.

Illustrations are both small video grabs and some still photo cature JPEG images. The still caps are large, but no matter what your connection speed, they should enlarge fairly quick.

While rea life content on Cartoon 69 is offered in a number of formats the toon videos are mainly offered for those with at least a DSL connection. A complete disappointment to the dial-up user.

Like all sites associated with this particular network, Cartoon 69 has a huge amount of content.  None of the cartoon content is offered on the member page, which is a mistake in my opinion. This means that you have to go searching for the main content of Cartoon 69. The only place you will find the bulk of it is in the content category menu on the left side of the page. Choosing videos or pictures will take you there.

Once you access a photo or video gallery, you will be given a choice of thumbnails consisting of different types of animation and episode titles. From here, you simply choose what you want.

Unlike other sites within the network, Cartoon 69 has an appealing design. The site is filled with white space, blocked with pink borders, black text, and an animated graphic at the top of the page. It was initially easy to look at, but id does not offer a terrific layout. 

The member page is inundated by content, and very little of it relates to cartoon content. In fact, not even one toon video capture was profiled. Updates of bonus content fill the centre of a three-column page. Bonus sites occupy the right column, and there is a content category menu in the left column. It is in this content area where you will find the animated stills and videos. While I found the initial design attractive enough, there was too much useless information to sift through.

However, I do think that the price is high for a site that does not offer their own custom content. The one saving grace for Cartoon 69 is the fact that so many bonus sites are offered although none pertain to this particular niche.

Animation is unique, and it has always fascinated me. You really have to give some of the illustrators and animators credit for the clarity of detail I the images. When I was a kid, I recall watching Japanime, and believe me the quality has vastly improved. More than that, I don’t ever recall hearing about toon sex.
